This policy explains how "Sorry, Doors Closing" (the "Game") handles information about its users.
Information saved in your browser
The Game saves the following information only in your browser (localStorage). It is never sent to our servers.
- Your first result of the day on Today's Week (the date, the days you weren't late, how many people you shut out, your goodwill, your ending, and your score; used to show that result again if you choose Today's Week again on the same day, and overwritten when you play on a new day)
- Which endings you've seen so far
- Your personal best score in Practice
- How many times you've played and your streak of days, used for the "play next" section on the results screen (nacn-kit:elevator-close)
- The language you chose on the language selection page or from the language suggestion (lang), and whether you closed the language suggestion (lang-suggest-closed). These names are shared across all nacn.app sites
Progress in the middle of a week is not saved. Saved information is erased when you clear your browser's site data.
Sharing your results
When you tap "Share on X," the Game opens X's post screen with your result filled in (the days you weren't late, how many people you shut out, your ending, your score, and your title). When you tap "Share," your device's share menu opens with the same text, and you choose the app. You decide whether to post or send it. The Game never posts or sends anything on its own.
Advertising
The Game uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Game and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to the Game and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
For more information, see how Google uses cookies in advertising.
Analytics
The Game uses Google Analytics, an analytics tool by Google, to understand how it's used and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect traffic data. This data is collected anonymously and does not identify you personally.
Besides page views, the Game sends these events: starting a game (and which mode), the result (score, the number of days you weren't late, how many people you shut out, your ending, and your title), tapping the share button or the Play again button, and tapping a link to another game on nacn.app. No information that identifies you, such as your name or contact details, is sent.
You can refuse this collection by disabling cookies in your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For how this data is handled, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
Cookie consent
For visitors from countries where prior consent is required, such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, we show a cookie consent notice at the bottom of the screen and do not use Google Analytics or advertising cookies until you agree. Until then, basic measurements that do not use cookies (such as the fact that a page was opened) are still sent to Google, and only non-personalized ads are shown. For visitors from the EU, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Game is shown with cookies turned off.
Your choice is saved in a cookie shared by all nacn.app sites (nacn_consent, kept for about 13 months). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.
Notice for U.S. residents
- We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in Google's Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info.
